Dr. Jennie Germann Molz as a Professor of Sociology at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. As a mobilities scholar, Jennie has studied the intersection of tourism and technology in mobile lifestyles including round-the-world backpackers, flashpackers, Couchsurfers, and digital nomads. Her latest book, The World is Our Classroom (NYU Press), is an ethnographic account of worldschooling and digital nomad families.
I will be discussing my findings on digital nomad families and how they incorporate remote work and reproductive labor in their mobile lifestyles. I will also introduce themes from a new research project I am launching on digital nomads and the future.
